Applying for a Property
To apply for one of our properties, we require a completed application form along with the requested information. Applications are typically processed within five working days, although in some cases we are able to complete checks more quickly.
Housing Benefit & Bedroom Entitlement
If you are in receipt of Housing Benefit or the housing element of Universal Credit, the local council will determine your bedroom entitlement in line with current Housing Benefit regulations.
In most cases, one bedroom is allowed for:
- A couple
- A single person aged 16 or over
- Two children of the same sex under the age of 16
- Any two children under the age of 10
- Any other individual child under the age of 16
This entitlement is used to calculate your maximum eligible rent. Please note that your actual Housing Benefit or Universal Credit award will still depend on your income and savings and may not cover the full rental amount.
